While the MOPCO nitrogen complex remained down last week (GA/Nov. 21, 2011), company executives as well as minority shareholder (26 percent) Agrium Inc. were hopeful that parliamentary elections - still slated to begin Monday, Nov. 28 - would bring stability to the country, which is seeing both protests against MOPCO in Damietta, but also major demonstrations against the caretaker military rulers in Cairo's Tahrir Square. The latter are the largest demonstrations since the exit of former President Hosni Mubarak Feb. 11.
