Through The Generations

Ron and Todd Strauch are the labor and operating force behind Strauch Farms, Augusta, Wis. They work together, with the common vision of Todd being the top decision maker in the future. Since graduating from high school Todd, now 28, has simply wantedto farm. And Ron says, that is how he got his start in the dairy and Guernsey industry. Ron's father, Alfred, began dairy farming with Guernseys in 1938. In 1975 Ron bought the farm from his dad, and sometime in the future Todd will be the third generation to own Strauch Farms. He currently owns over one-third of the herd; 15 cows and ten heifers. Todd milks in the morning and the evening and works a full day at the cash crop/feeder operation across the street.
