TMS Treks to Ls Vegas for Annual Meeting

HIS year's gathering for The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society will land the organization and its members in Las Vegas-a year-round destination but an especially attractive, sunny one for the February 12-16 event. Las Vegas offers numerous attractions besides sunshine, gambling, and entertainment. Several tour packages have been planned to view the city's other interesting destinations, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, as well as a separate tour package just for shopping. Headquartered at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel, the meeting's technical sessions are planned to begin the morning of Monday, February 13, and conclude that Thursday. Exhibition hours are Monday, 3 to 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Over 100 exhibitors are expected for the three-day show.
