Quesnel Forks later attracted the Chinese. These much more efficient gold prospectors followed westerners and Europeans to many abandoned mining sites, where they worked the same gold deposits again. However, the Chinese worked much more accurately and more persistently, and achieved good gold finds. The last inhabitant of Quesnel Forks was Chinaman Wong Kuey Kim, who died in 1957 in a snowstorm on his way back from Likely.
