India slaps anti-dumping measures on wallboard

India: The Government of India has imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on gypsum wallboard imported from China, Indonesia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. Saint Gobain Gyproc India Ltd had filed a petition against imports of gypsum plaster boards. The anti-dumping duty is not applicable to fire-, impact- or thermally-resistant boards or ECHO boards. The anti-dumping duty is applicable from 7 June 2012 for a period of five years.
