WATER REDUCTION EFFICIENCY

As energy costs continue to climb,it is increasingly important to reduce energy consumption in board production.Optimum utilisation of dispersants and foaming agents together can accomplish this by reducing the level of excess water that must be removed from the set gypsum board during drying.Therefore,polycarboxylate comb copolymer dispersants and foaming agents can be efficiently combined to produce quality gypsum compositions with low water usage.There are two principal routes by which chemical technology can improve wallboard plant profitability,as energy and raw material costs continue to rise.Both are based on the new generation of high-efficiency polycarboxylate comb copolymer dispersants and advanced foaming agents.The first route is to reduce direct material costs through lower dosages at nominal water reductions.
