When the average person peers out across the rich, fertile Indiana farmland, it probably never occurs to them that there could be something of great value hidden beneath. Something that has been resting there since before humans even migrated to this continent. A treasure that man has sought out, coveted, and even fought wars over since long before recorded history. The substance of which I speak is gold and not just tiny specks and flakes, but hefty hunks of gold, the likes of which dreams are made of. For many Indiana prospectors, the idea of finding a large gold nugget is relegated to the realm of myth and legend, thought of in the same way as you would Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster.
