There has been a lot of talk in the last several months about whether or not computers will be ready to ham die the year 2000. Important as that may be there is another Y2K problem that needs to be addressed by every poultry business and indeed every business. That problem is whether or not an organization is ready for the next millennium. The Y2K organization problem is not like the Y2K computer problem where a machine can be made compliant and the problem is over. Being ready as an organization for the next century means being flexible enough to make the constant changes that will be necessary to sustain a competitive advantage.
