What a year! After the Poultry Confidence Index (PCI) reached rock bottom during the second quarter of 1998--extending a nearly two-year downslide---confidence rose in both the third and fourth quarters. This resurrection is even more remarkable in face of Consumer Confidence Index trends, which have declined in recent months.
