Wartsila announced March 26 that it won a contract from the South Korean government’s Incheon Port Authority (IPA) to supply a marine diesel engine capable of running either on liquid fuels or natural gas. Prior to awarding the contract, the government “specified environmental sustainability as a priority for this ship, and this project is seen as being highly significant for this reason,” according to Wartsila.
