The domestic U.S. oil supply picture continues to improve as unconventional drilling and completion techniques yield new North American production that increasingly is being delivered to refineries across the country. Much has been written about existing and planned pipeline and rail infrastructure that is serving the highly productive unconventional shale oil plays such as the Bakken trend in North Dakota and Montana.
