Opel to Debut Euro-6 Diesel Car at Geneva Auto Show

GM’s Opel division announced February 13 that it will debut the Euro-6 version of its “Zafira Tourer” diesel car at the Geneva Motor Show on March 7. The car features a 1.6-liter “Ecotec” diesel engine with 320 Newton-meters of torque and 4.1 liters per 100 kilometers fuel consumption, equivalent to 109 grams per kilometer (g/km) of carbon dioxide (CO2). “The new Zafira Tourer 1.6 CDTI, which will be launched in 2013, is expected to be particularly popular in many markets where its super-low CO2 emission level of only 109 g/km will make it benefit from a favorable taxation system, e.g. in France, Belgium and the Netherlands,” according to GM.
