Siemens Touts First-Ever U.S. Offshore Wind-Power Contract

Siemens announced December 23 that it secured its firstever offshore U.S. wind-power contract from Cape Wind. “Once the contract becomes effective later [in 20124], Siemens will supply Cape Wind with its industry-leading 3.6-megawatt offshore wind turbines, an offshore Electric Service Platform (ESP) and a long-term service agreement,” according to Siemens.
