Canadian Lignite Coal-Fired Power Plant Building Cansolv CCS System for Carbon Capture

Cansolv Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Shell, announced that it has been granted the go-ahead for construction, now underway, of its integrated carbon and sulfur capture system at Boundary Dam power station in Saskatchewan, Canada, according to a June 30 release by the company. The approval for construction by the Saskatchewan provincial government puts Cansolv at the heart of one of the first commercial-scale carbon capture and storage facilities in the world.
