Siemens on May 15 slammed decisions by certain governments that sanction renewable-power projects in the “wrong locations,” wasting billions of euros. “Building and expanding renewable-energy installations in the wrong locations is costing ?45 billion [US$57.8 billion] in unnecessary investment,” according to Siemens.
