U.K. Government Laments Shutdown of Petroplus Coryton Refinery

The United Kingdom Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) on May 28 lamented the lack of a buyer for the 10 million-tonne-per-year (180,000 barrel-per-day) Coryton refinery owned by bankrupt Petroplus. “It is disappointing that PWC [the bankruptcy administrator] has been unable to find a buyer for Coryton,” according to a DECC press statement.
