IEA Five-Year Outlook: Middle Distillates to Grab 'Largest Share by Far of Demand'

The International Energy Agency (IEA) announced in its latest Medium-Term Oil Market Report 2012 (released October 12) that global demand for middle distillates over the next five years is "expected to growth much faster than that for other products, so that gasoil and diesel by the end of the forecast period [through 2017] will account for the largest share by far of the demand barrel - a challenge for refiners and end-users alike."
