Fleet-Fueling Supplier SMF Files Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based diesel and gasoline fleet-fueling specialist SMF Energy and its subsidiaries H & W Petroleum Co., SMF Services and Streicher Realty on April 16 filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. As a result, the companies will operate as “debtors in possession under the jurisdiction of the Court,” according to SMF.
