Air Liquide Teams Up on Algae Biofuels R&D Scheme

Air Liquide announced April 5 that it’s teaming up with La Compagnie du Vent and 11 other industrial partners in what’s dubbed as the “Salinalgue” algae biofuels research project in France. “The Salinalgue experimentation basins, commissioned in October 2011, are intended to produce microalgae to recover bioenergy (biodiesel and biomethane) and other bioproducts (dyes, aquaculture feeds),” according to Air Liquide.
