The Association des Constructeurs Europeens d'Automobiles (ACEA), the trade association of Europe's automakers, an-nounced September 22 a new set of recommendations to standardize the charging of electric vehicles (EVs)-not only in Europe but worldwide. The joint industry proposal "will enable the use of one type of plug independent of car make, electricity provider or country," according to the ACEA.
