Exelon to Congress: Do Nothing on Energy, CO2

Exelon CEO John Rowe announced March 8 at a Washington, D.C., policy conference that the U.S. Congress should "do nothing"in energy or carbon legislation. Chicago-based Rowe, who heads one of the U.S.'s biggest power producers, told an American Enterprise Institute conference that a combination of abundant U.S. natural gas, "well-functioning energy markets,"and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) enforcement of the existing Clean Air Act "is already working to modernize the nation's electric generation fleet, improve air quality, manage costs and increase global competitiveness.”
