CRM Considers Coal-Gasification Project in Brazil

Brazil-based coal miner CRM announced in early January that it’s mulling a coal-gasification project at its Candiota mine in Rio Grande do Sul state – likely targeting electric power or synthetic natural gas (SNG) output. The company has proposed a gasification research and development (R&D) project to the government’s Seinfra infrastructure agency.
