BC Ferries Seeks LNG/Dual-Fuel Ferry Bids

British Columbia-based BC Ferries on December 9 issued a request for proposal (RFP) for three new ferries that would be capable of running on liquefied natural gas (LNG) or marine gasoil (MGO). On a parallel front, BC Ferries is “pursuing funding under incentive programs to help offset any incremental capital costs associated with the use of LNG,” according to the company.
