Houston-based ConocoPhillips announced August 8 that it will sell its 100% interest in the Clyden oil-sands leasehold to ExxonMobil Canada and Imperial Oil for around US$720 million (Cdn$751 million) before customary adjustments. The Clyden asset comprises 226,000 net acres of undeveloped land and is located near the southern edge of the Athabasca oil sands and south of Fort McMurray, Alberta, according to the statement.
