ADB: Dieselization, Alternatives Could Slash Asia’s Energy Costs, CO2 Emissions

A new report from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) shows that relatively “clean”-energy technologies – including newer, high-efficiency diesel engines and biobased diesel fuels – could help slash South Asia’s carbon-dioxide (CO2) emissions at least 20% by 2020 at little or no cost. The report analyzes the current and future energy situation in Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
