Celanese, PetroChina to Collaborate on Synthetic Fuel-Ethanol Development

Celanese Corp.’s Far East Ltd. subsidiary announced August 21that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to facilitate the development of synthetic fuel ethanol with the PetroChina. Under the MoU, both companies will collaborate to develop synthetic fuel ethanol opportunities within China using Celanese’s proprietary TCX ethanol process technology, according to the statement.
