ERG Net Profit Doubles Year-on-Year; IGCC-Power Output Rises

Italy-based oil refiner and integrated gasification combined-cycle (IGCC) power-plant operator ERG announced March 8 that its 2012 net profit more than doubled year-on-year, to ?151 million (US$196 million), from ?65 million (US$84 million) in 2011. ERG retains a 20% equity share in the 320,000 barrel-per-day ISAB refinery at Priolo, while Lukoil – which acquired another 20% equity stake of the refinery in late 2012 – now holds the other 80% equity position.
