OOC Takatuf and Petrofac to Form Technical Training Center

Oman Oil Co. (OOC) human capital unit Takatuf and oilfield services giant Petrofac announced April 29 they have agreed on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to create a joint-venture Centre of Excellence (COE) for technical training in Oman. The COE will be the largest technical training center in the Middle Eastern country and will initially focus on development of OOC employees and local subsidiaries. Later, it is expected to service the wider oil and gas industry in Oman, according to a statement.
