German engineering firm Siemens announced June 21 that it won its first order for an offshore wind-power plant in China, considered the "biggest wind-power market worldwide." The deal includes 21 wind turbines, each with an output of 2.3 megawatts (MW) and a rotor diameter of 101 meters, for an offshore project in Rudong County, Jiangsu province in China.
