Reliance 1H-Fiscal 2014 Net Profit Rises 9.4% Year-on-Year

Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) – operator of the world’s largest oil refinery at Jamnagar, India – on October 14 reported that its first-half (1H) fiscal-year (FY) 2014 corporate-wide net profits rose 9.4% year-on-year, to US$1.7 billion. RIL’s refining and market segment 1H-FY 2014 earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose 8.3% year-on-year, although crude throughput in 1H-FY 2014 fell to 34.7 million tonnes, versus 34.9 million tonnes in 1H-FY 2013.
