Honeywell to Upgrade Automation for Idemitsu at Japan Refining Complex

Honeywell announced April 18 that Japan-based Idemitsu Kosan has selected its “Experion Process Knowledge System” (PKS) to upgrade the integrated control room at the Tokuyama, Yamaguchi refining and petrochemical complex to promote operational efficiency, safety and reliability. According to the announcement, Idemitsu Kosan plans to modernize its control systems and adopt global practices and business applications to be added to the Experion architecture quickly and with little disruption to operations.
