Navistar reported June 10 that its fiscal-year (FY) secondquarter (2Q) 2013 net loss jumped to US$374 million from a $172-million net loss in FY 2Q 2012. “The year-over-year decline was mainly due to lower volumes and higher pre-existing warranty adjustments of $164 million in the second quarter 2013, primarily related to EPA [U.S. Environmental Protection Agency] 2010 emissions-level engines,” according to Navistar.
