With little light, sweet crude coming to market other than that contributed from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), oil prices have recovered and resumed an upward path after the surprise June 23 announcement of a coordinated global stockpile release. But a path to lower risk and trust between oil producing and consumer nations -even the true costs of the decision -remain to be seen.
