Long-range control of expression in yeast

摘要

The mechanisms underlying gene expression are of fundamental importance in biology. We report on a whole-genome study on yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), correlating gene expression profiles against their spatial location. Our results show that there is a small but highly significant dependence of gene expression level by relative position of gene pairs.
