The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced February 20 that it awarded US$496,000 to the State of Utah for programs to slash diesel emissions from 19 diesel trucks operating in the Wasatch Front region. “Getting Utah’s trucking fleets up to speed with technologies that dramatically reduce pollution, including harmful fine particles, is a step towards healthier air quality,” said Shaun McGrath, EPA regional administrator in Denver.
