Istanbul-Austria's OMV is looking to expand its role in Libya's oil and gas sector as it works to restart its own production sites in the conflict-riven country by mid-2012, the company said September 22. "Libya is one of our core countries-if we have the chance to expand there we will do it," CEO Gerhard Roiss told reporters in Istanbul, adding that the country remains a focus for OMV in the upstream.
