CONTROL BLIGHT: Have tomatoes until Christmas

In talking with people that grow tomatoes, I realized there needed to be more information on the importance of controlling tomato blight. If your tomato plants start dying at the bottom, this will continue to the top, which is tomato blight. Then youend up replanting tomatoes in order to have tomatoes all season. You should never have to replant tomatoes if you control tomato blight. To control blight, spray leaves with Mancozeb or similar products when you first plant your tomatoes. Be sure to spray the underside of the leaves as well as the top side. Follow instructions on containers and spray throughout the growing season. Mancozeb can be purchased at your local farm stores.
