A composition of oxide film containing bismuth, iron, and titanium on a substrate of float glass, grade M1, has been studied by secondary ion mass spectrometry. It is established that the actual composition of the three-component coating of the Bi2O3-Fe2O3-TiO2 family differs from the preset by synthesis composition due to the diffusion of oxides of sodium, calcium, and silicon from the glass substrate. The content of the components in the coating has been determined, and the possibility of generating chemical compounds and eutectics in the transient layer film-substrate has been estimated. The calculations have demonstrated that the coating porosity at the interface with air is higher than at the interface with the substrate. The porosity decreases with an increase in the concentration of sodium oxide migrating from the substrate.
