Disordering in the Structure of Cesium Silicate Cs6Si10O_(23)

摘要

This paper reports on the results of an X-ray diffraction study of the crystal structure of cesium silicate Cs6Si10O_(23)prepared by crystallization from a glass of mixed composition.Glasses are disordered condensed systems.The determination of their structure has been performed by various methods but leads to only averaged characteristics,such as the average coordination number of cations,the average bond length,and other parameters.It can be said with assurance that crystals formed upon crystallization of glasses contain structural fragments that also exist in the vitreous matrix.
