Fully Developed Automatic Screening Apparatus by Fraunhofer ISC

摘要

Costly and expensive glass developments can be simplified and cheapened by an automatic process.Special glasses need a long development phase before they can be manufactured.Labor-intensive melting processes,in which properties and melting behavior of the glasses are analyzed,increase development expenses rapidly.Especially the casting process is difficult to be reproduced exactly.For some glasses even delays in casting of only a few seconds can influence some properties severely.An automation of the process can reduce costs clearly and improve reproduc-ibility of the results.
