The acquisition of Auto Windscreens from insurer Aviva by German holding company Arques Industries AG sees the business continuing in the hands of the existing management team. Managing director Abu-Haris Shafi said the new ownership will enable Auto Windscreens to develop much closer relationships with insurers and brokers. "From the beginning of January [2009], Auto Windscreens will be a completely independent company, giving us a more streamlined operation and better decision-making powers."
