摘要

Ever since the holidays, my mailbox has been overflowing with gardening cat alogs picturing trees, shrubs, perennials and bulbs in full bloom. Without restraint, these could send me into bank ruptcy. Last year, I spent the first two weeks of March inJackson, Wyo (Hardiness Zone 3b) where the ground was covered with several feet of snow and spring seemed several months away. When I arrived back in Atlanta, I was greeted with blooming Bradford pears, forsythias and redbuds. I had actually missed the blooming of mydaphne I pondered on how fortunate I was to live where winter are mild enough that gardening is a round sport!
