BOEM Sets Date for Gulf Lease Sale

The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) on Monday scheduled a planned lease sale of 73 million acres in the US Gulf of Mexico for Aug. 16 in New Orleans. The sale marks the first of 10 scheduled for the US Gulf under the new Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program for 2017-22 and the first under new Interior Department Secretary Ryan Zinke.
