Notes form a Champleve Workshop

Jan Harrell presented a power packed workshop which demonstrated a wonderful new way to etch metal as well as cold connections and a variety of other useful information. The following will concentrate on describing the new etching method and will include a copy of the instructions for the making a Black Light Box which we were given by Jan. Jan introduced us to a light and heat sensitive material produced by the Dupont company that works beautifully for transferring a design to metal in preparation for etching. It is a much better product than PnP paper (in my opinion). The name of the material is ImagOn Ultra. It is relatively inexpensive, but must be handles with care because it IS VERY LIGHT SENSITIVE!
