FORD/Agreement with Borsk Glass Factory

The Ford Motor Company announced in November 2001 that it had signed a contract with the Russian Borsk Glass Factory on supplies of glass for automobiles produced in the Leningrad region.Murray Gilbert, general director of the Ford Motor Company in Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad region, said the glass would be used for Ford Focus side windows, which would be produced at the plant. The sum of the deal was not disclosed.The first trial batch of glass was supplied to the plant on 24 August 2001.
