As a boy, I Loved looking at picture boods depicting huge lumberjacks, giant trees crashing to the groud and water chutes, built out of timber, snaking down mountain valleys to carry the logs to the sawmill, I imagined the thrill of sending giant logs crashing down these flumes, and those images imprinted themseves on my memory.
