Corrigendum to ' Cell phones change the way we walk' [Gait Posture 35 (2012) 688-690]

In the results section, we state "When comparing baseline to testing, the TEXT group had a 33% reduction (7.0 vs. 4.7 m/s, p = 0.01) and the TALK group a 16% reduction (7.5 vs. 6.3 m/s, p = 0.02) in velocity." While the percentages are correct, the velocities should read (0.7 vs. 0.47 m/s, p = 0.01) and (0.75 vs. 0.63 m/s, p = 0.02). We regret the incorrect placement of the decimal point indicating a far greater than normal velocity. In fact, even at baseline participants are walking slower than typical gait speeds due to obscured vision. Likewise, the graphic representations of our data are missing appropriate decimal points. The legend for Fig. 1B should be 0.40,0.45, 0.85 m/s and the legend for Fig. 1C should be 6.5, 7.0 9.0 m.
