摘要

Hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC) [1,2] is an alternative HPLC technique based on a combination of polar stationary phases with aqueous/organic mobile phases, essentially dedicated to the separation of very polar compounds such as amino acids, glycopeptides, oligonucleotides, and highly polar natural products [3]. We developed and applied a new sugar-based material in the stereo-selective HILIC separation of very polar compounds, such as carbohydrates, amino acids and flavonoids, with particular attention to the occurrence of chromatographic peak shape deformation due to interconversion of sugar anomers.
