High Speed Chromatography with Significant Perspective: The New LaChromUltra Increases Sample Throughput 10-fold

The new ultra-fast HPLC system wasofficially launched by VWR International/Scientific Instruments (VWR) on October 1st. The LaChromUltra is now the 5th generation of HPLC systems developed in close cooperation with Hitachi, originally with Merck KGaA but since 2002 with VWR. This cooperation, initiated in 1983, involves not just the exclusive marketing of the Hitachi instruments by VWR; it also includes joint development of the products. Dr. Katja Habermuller talked to Dr. Wolf-Dieter Beinert, Product Specialist at VWR, and Thorsten Schulz, Marketing Manager Scientific Instruments, about the technical requirements demanded of the instruments by ultra-fast HPLC and the advantages and applications of the new LaChromUltra system.
