Canada to demonstrate 270 MW coal based IGCC plant with CCS

Plans are in progress to build a coal-based integrated gasification combined cycle power plant featuring carbon capture and storage. The project, which will demonstrate Siemens' gasification technology, could be completed by as early as 2015.
